Documentation for the FEFF Project
Documents for the current version of FEFF are available
in four formats: PostScript, PDF, dvi, and wiki. Documents for ATOMS
and older versions of FEFF are available in HTML, PostScript
and unformatted ASCII (text).
Many graphical web browsers may be configured
to directly display PostScript. Any computer with the free Adobe
Reader installed can view PDF files. Files in dvi format can be
viewed by a number of freely available viewers (as can PostScript
and PDF). Any modern browser can view the wiki pages.
All Web browsers can display the hypertext (HTML) versions of the
documentation. The ASCII versions are for simple display without a
Web browser or other sophisticated textual tool. Documentation for
earlier versions of FEFF is available as HTML not broken into chapters.

FEFF8, The latest release of FEFF8 simplifies spin-dependent calculations, and can include core-hole and local field effects.

FEFF7, fully relativistic multiple scattering XAFS and XANES with polarization dependence. Also has new Dirac-Fock atomic potentials and improved self-energies.
